How are my lists organized

First by city/country then by category

ie. Athens - Bars

Visited - These are all of the establishments that I visited in a given place of that type

ie. BA - Restaurants (Visited)

Recommended - these are my favorite or recommended places by type

ie. BA - Restaurants (Recommended)

The reason I provide it in both formats are 2 fold.

1. Because people have different opinions than me and may enjoy a place that I didn't

2. Transparency. I want people to have the full context of what I have tried, so that they may understand what went into my evaluation and recommendations. I don't want this to be another one of those "Black box" recommendation pages

How to use my lists

1. Select the list you would like to follow​ - this will open up in google maps

2. Click Save (*Note you must be signed into a google account, it will prompt you to login)

Now the list is saved in your google maps. You can access it on web or mobile by going to google maps and then clicking on saved.

​

I personally use the lists like layers on the map. You can turn them on or off depending what you want to see by going to the three dots and clicking "Hide on your map". This makes it easier to find the type of place by location on the map.
