Best Restaurants in Buenos Aires

I went to all of the restaurants in BA on the World's 50 Best list and more, so you don't have to. Although I'd certainly recommend the journey if you have the time.

But if you only have a few days in Buenos Aires here's the ones not to be missed.

#1 Trescha

Newest on the list, just opened March 2023. Founded by Thomás Treschanski formerly of Azurmendi, Frantzén, Boragó and more. My opinion, Trescha is far better than Boragó and less expensive too! Only offers tasting menu. Price is the highest on this list, but a deal compared to similar quality restaurants in major cities in the US or Europe.

#2 Roux

Looking for something more approachable but nothing short of exceptional? This is it. I personally went here several times during my stay. Each dish is beautifully presented with the taste to match. Very reasonably priced a la cart menu.

#3 Nuestro Secreto

Located inside the Four Seasons, the only Argentinean steak house on my list. And yes I went to Don Julio, more than once as well as many others including the other higher rated steakhouse in the Four Seasons, Elena. Nuestro Secreto was the best and best value.

#4 Niño Gordo

Wow, what to say about this one. Beef Katsu Sando just melts in your mouth! Pork belly bao, yes!

#5 Mutsuhito Omakase

An Omakase sushi restaurant in Argentina? Yes! There are actually many Omakase restaurants in BA, check out my full Omakase guide here. This is the cheapest omakase I have ever had anywhere, but don't think for a minute they skimp on value. It is a not so small 18 course dinner.
